How It Works

Every step, from the particles hitting the sensor to the message going out.

System Architecture

Overview of components and data flow in the FireAlert system.

PM Sensor

Optical sensor measures particle concentration in the air to indicate potential smoke presence.

LoRaWAN Gateway

Receives data from devices and forwards it to the network server.

FireAlert Server

Stores the readings, watches the trend, and raises an alert when the numbers climb.

Alert System

Sends notifications via email and webhooks to responsible services.

Steps of Operation

  1. 1

    Particle Measurement

The sensor measures PM particle concentration in the air.

  2. 2

    Threshold Comparison

The reading is compared against the thresholds you set for that site.

  3. 3

    Alert Trigger

Alert is triggered when elevated particulate levels indicate potential fire risk.

  4. 4

    Server Transmission

Data is transmitted via the LoRaWAN network to the FireAlert server.

  5. 5

    User Notification

Whoever is on your list gets the alert: the fire service, the landowner, the duty officer.

FireAlert Platform

Every device you own, on one screen, updating as the readings come in.

Users can review historical data, configure thresholds, and manage alerts.

A REST API, if you would rather pull the data into your own system.
